What we stand to lose?
Science appears apolitical at times. However, it takes a democracy for good science to flourish and prosper. If Project 2025 takes hold in the country, we stand to be more like an authoritarian government than many would want. Project 2025 would abolish the Dept of Education, NOAA, the EPA, the FDA and others. It would make an equitable education nearly impossible. It would turn our beautiful country into an ugly Fascist state. I have included an interview by Molly Jong-Fast of Theda Skocpol. Dr. Skocpol is a Harvard professor who has studied MAGA and its roots. Please share this video.
The most alarming things to me about project 2025 or it’s mention of women not having the right to vote, women not being able to get a divorce even when the husband is abusive, men wouldn’t be able to either, and women would not be able to have birth control or abortions. women’s live would be going backwards. We live in a state of being where none of us would have a say in our freedoms. If we want to protest, we could get shot by the military with a word from the president.
