Opinion piece—truth and freedom die in darkness!

As I write this piece I remind myself of what is at stake this November on the second Tuesday. It is the Presidential election. As I see it, the country stands at a precipice of either re-affirming democracy or embracing a potential dictator. Don’t be fooled by the fact that this potential dictator claims to be on the side of Christianity. A true Christian does not embrace people like Vladimer Putin or a North Korean dictator. A real Christian shows compassion. A true Christian tries to make the world a better place for others. This person has been convicted of 34 felonies and stands accused of crimes yet to named by the US government in regards to government secrets. He has shown no remorse.
Mr. Trump will say or doing anything to be re-elected —he cannot be trusted. In regards to abortion, if Mr. Trump was serious about Christianity he would practice what he has preached. He would not have paid off a pornographic actress to keep her from telling of his infidelities.
Moreoever, Mr. Trump would have our country stand idly by as Vladimer Putin continues his assault on Eastern Europe. I have attached a link to the Frontline Video (below) in the hopes that you will come to understand Mr. Trump embraces President Vladimer Putin. He has openly embraced Mr. Putin. The film is titled, Twenty Days in Mariupol. You may have seen this brutal documentary already; however, people like Mr. Trump don’t understand the first thing about what it means to live in a democracy. Don’t be fooled by this charlatan. If you watch the video you will come to understand that Mr. Putin is a war criminal. Do you want our next president to embrace war atrocities? I hope not.
While this film is two years old —it is timeless for specific reasons. The war continues to rage. However, it is an Academy Award winner. Basically, it shows the West is in a battle for its soul against communism. Mr. Trump instructed the far right of US Congress to withhold military aid from Ukraine earlier this year. Don’t be fooled by the faux Christian stance—it is anything but Christian. The West cannot afford to be isolationist at this moment. President Biden did what he could to ensure whatever meager aid could flow to Ukraine to battle the Russian menace. Our country cannot afford to sit idly as dictators slaughter innocent women and children.
